There is something dramatic about watching a bushfire. It was burning out of control and it was frightening watching it move downhill from tree to tree. Below countless fire engines were prepared to stop it crossing their lines.

This statue is in the Japanese Gardens at the Tasmanian Botanical Gardens although its meaning i am not sure.

As long as i can remember on the foreshore of the beach near where i live there have been a pair of rusted boat hooks where once someone used to lift their dingy out of the water. Strangely although they have always been rusty they are yet to rust away
